I have been focusing a lot on LEED rating systems. Apart of the the whole LEED system you are going to focus on factors such as renewable resources and post consumer recycled Material. This article is featured in Eco-Geek and highlight a new product.
Drywall covers our surrounds, similar in how paint covers our surroundings. This new alternative to drywall is fully recyclable and it requires 80% less energy to produce. They claim that their carbon offset stands at 90%!!! This is a great product to consider for new construction or interior renovations. The problem is, most projects are based on costs. If its cheaper to pollute so be it. As a LEED consultant you have the power to use renewable resources, but your inputs are limited to what the client wants and their budget. So, good luck!
