The following states are posed to lose jobs in renewable energy, Texas, Colorado, Illinois, Oregon, Minnesota, Washington, Iowa, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and California.
The sad fact is:
Over 116,000 U.S. jobs and nearly $19 billion in U.S. investment could be lost in just one year. Approximately 76,000 jobs are at risk in the wind industry, and approximately 40,000 in the solar industry.
This is a small side track. Because the industry isn't even defined yet. I am optimistic because someone has to install these technology, and these technologies should create more jobs as alternative technologies gets cheaper. I want to call BS on this, but we will see.
Congress Goes Back to Work to Extend Green Credit. Good news for those of us on the fence to install a system. I hope they pass it again. If they don't both administration are not serious about energy policy.
